Below are the known issues in the most recent version of Manifesto

Cancel Button Doesn’t Work

Problem

• Only the upper 1/2 of the button responds to taps.

Cause

• The behavior changed in one of the recent iPhone SDK updates.

Resolution

• Workaround – Tap on the upper half of the button
• This will be fixed in a future version of Manifesto.

No Dates / Re-downloading Old Articles

Problem

• ‘No Date’ when viewing the article’s details
• No date visible in the articles lists
• Old articles will be downloaded over and over again

Cause

• Dates for articles in certain feeds will not be parsed correctly due to the Region Format setting on the iPhone being set to something other than US

Resolution

• Workaround – Go into the Settings App, General, Internation, and change Region Format to US
• This will be fixed in a future version of Manifesto.

Slow iTunes Back Ups

Problem

• iTunes backups / syncing is slow after installing Manifesto

Cause

• This is directly related to the number of articles that are currently in Manifesto, especially flagged ones that are cached.
• iTunes is extremely inefficient at copying a large number of files no matter the size, which is how Manifesto stores some article meta data and also cached data for an article.

Resolution

• Workaround – You can reduce your backup time if you purge old articles more often and have fewer flagged articles.
• This will be fixed in a future version of Manifesto where the number of files stored by Manifesto will not scale with the number of articles.
